ATIS information alfa wind 220 at 12, eighth mile visibility with light rain and fog, eight hundred foot overcast, temperature 2, due point 1, altimeter 30.21 set my side and see it set on yours, RVRs six hundred, six hundred, six hundred, departing runway 04L.
We are at gate B20 expect taxi via Kilo, Romeo, Alfa and Alfa one for a full length departure on runway 4L. I see no hot spots and one runway crossing. When we get there, Runway is ten thousand feet long and is contaminated.
Will reject the takeoff for warning massages, engine failures or loss of direction control prior to V1, after V1 will continue and deal with it in the air. Our single engine departure procedure is a Standard with a left turn heading 210, I set my preview needle to 210 to help remind us of that initial heading. We have Flint as our takeoff alternate.
Otherwise it will be standard RNAV departure on the BARII two, up to three thousand feet. The runway has the required lighting and marking for reported RVRs. We both checked the speeds and crossing restrictions on the SID, back me up to make sure we comply.
I looked and saw no applicable NOTAMs
Highest threat is the low visibility and contamination, to mitigate let us request anti-ice ALL performance, do two engine taxi so that we are both heads up when crossing runway 4R, perform pre-takeoff check to make sure we still have a clean airplane and do the engine ice shedding procedure before takeoff.
